Post Office in Hallway
Mrs. L. Hart, of Danecote, Church Way was village postmistress for 25 years until her retirement in March this year.
Mrs. Haynes has taken over the job and is using a small hallway in her modern house, Cherry Trees, as the Post Office.
Although Mrs. Hart was glad to retire after so many years' service, she is now at a loss about the future of the small extension to her cottage where she carried out her business. "Perhaps I will have it knocked down," she said.
