Thriving Institute
Mrs. Hilda Gardner, of Little Preston, is president of the Preston Capes Women's Institute and she claims that about half the women in the village who could join are members, the total at present being 23.
"We have quite a thriving WI and we do all kinds of things" she said. "For instance, we have had a go at rounders, darts and other activities."
She and Mrs. Farmer also help out with the WI stall at Daventry market, Mrs. Farmer being the chairman of Daventry WI Market Society.
