VILLAGE CAROL SINGING

Full details of the carol singing around the village are now on the noticeboard outside the village hall. On each evening, meet at the village hall at 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start. Carol sheets will be provided, but please bring a torch or lantern. All proceeds raised will go to the NSPCC.

PARISH COUNCIL

This month's parish council meeting takes place this evening (Thursday) in the village hall, starting at 7.45pm.

VILLAGE HALL CHRISTMAS PARTY

Approximately fifty adults and children came along to the village hall from late afternoon onwards last Saturday to enjoy the traditional Christmas party arranged by the village hall committee. After their tea, the children enjoyed a magic show, and this was followed by a visit by Father Christmas who distributed presents to all the children. After a hilarious Punch and Judy show, the adults had their buffet and disco. The raffle made just over £40 - thanks to everyone who contributed a raffle prize, and also bought tickets - and thanks also to all those who brought along food for the buffet.

NEW YEARS EVE

Don't forget that the village hall will be open from 8.30pm on New Years Eve. There will be darts and skittles tournaments, plus licensed bar. Please note that there will be no food available, but complimentary "champagne" and mincepies will be served at midnight. No booking/tickets required - just pay £1 on the door.

SEASON'S GREETINGS

As another year ends, may I take this opportunity of wishing you all a very Merry Christmas - see you in the New Year!
