PARISH COUNCIL
This month's parish council meeting takes place next Thursday, 18th March, at 7.45pm in the village hall.
W.I. COFFEE MORNING AND CAKE STALL
Preston Capes WI will be holding another of their very popular coffee mornings in the village hall on Saturday, 20th March, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Come along and buy a cake for Mothering Sunday, and enjoy a rummage on the bric-a-brac stall!
MOTHERING SUNDAY
A special Mothering Sunday family service – with presentation of posies and optional communion – will be held at Preston Capes church on 21st March at 9.30am. Posies will be made at Preston Fields Farm on the previous day (Saturday) – please contact Heather Wilson on 01327-361667 for full details.
HISTORIC BELL RINGING
If you hear our church bells ringing shortly before midday this Saturday (13th ), then stop and listen for a moment. The ringers are members of the historic Society of Royal Cumberland Youths which was founded in the mid 1700s by the second son of King George II, the Duke of Cumberland, after his victory at the Battle of Culloden.
