VILLAGE HALL BARN DANCE
Following on from the success and popularity of this event last Spring, the village hall committee will be holding another barn dance on Saturday, 22nd May. Paying a return visit will be the ceilidh band Gig CB! with caller, Chris Shaw. The evening starts at 8.00pm, but for those of you who would like to learn the steps in advance (or require a brief refresher course!) the band will be holding an informal “rehearsal” session in the afternoon from 3.00-4.00pm – and the bar will be open! Tickets will cost £6 for adults (£4 for under 14s) and will include a ploughman's supper. As there has been some interest for this event from non-parishioners, please note that tickets will be on sale exclusively for village residents until Monday, 17th May, after which they will go on general sale. Flyers and order forms will be distributed during the next few days, so please order your tickets as early as possible!
VILLAGE ANNUAL MEETING
An early reminder that our annual village meeting takes place on Thursday, 27th May - if there is anything you would particularly like discussed at this meeting, it would be helpful if you could let a parish councillor have details in advance.
