This Sunday at Preston Capes church: Holy Communion at 8.00am.
BARN DANCE
The village hall committee's Barn Dance takes place this Saturday (22nd May) starting at 8.00pm. As well as a return visit from Gig CB! , there will be a licensed bar (also open during the afternoon rehearsal) and ploughman's supper. If you have not already ordered your tickets, but would like some, please phone me today (Thursday) on 01327-361656 to check availability.
PARISH COUNCIL
This month's parish council meeting takes place this evening (Thursday) in the village hall, starting at 7.45pm.
ANNUAL VILLAGE MEETING
Don't forget that our annual village meeting takes place in the village hall next Thursday, 27th May, at 7.45pm.
GARDENERS' COFFEE MORNING
To raise funds for the church, a gardeners' coffee morning will be held at Old West Farm, Little Preston (between Preston Capes and Maidford) next Thursday, 27th May, from 10.00am until noon. As well as the opportunity to buy from a large range of interesting and unusual plants, there will also be a cakes and produce stall, plants bring-and-buy and raffle.

OPEN GARDENS
Five village gardens – City Cottage, The Folly, Forge Cottage and West Orchard Farmhouse in Preston Capes, and Old West Farm in Little Preston - will open this year on Sunday, 6th June, in aid of the National Gardens Scheme and the church. Light lunches and teas will be available at Little Preston, and several gardens will have plants for sale.
