CHURCH SERVICES
This Sunday at Preston Capes church: no service (a United Benefice Service of Holy Communion will be held at Charlwelton church at 9.30am.).
PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL
A meeting of the parochial church council will be held this Monday, 23rd May, in the village hall at 8.00pm.
PARISH COUNCIL
The parish council's AGM takes place this evening (Thursday) in the village hall, starting at 7.45pm.
The annual village meeting will take place next Thursday (26th May) – all parishioners should have received a copy of the agenda.
GARDENERS COFFEE MORNING
Come to Old West Farm, Little Preston, next Thursday morning (26th May) from 10.00am to midday for the opportunity to buy some interesting and unusual plants. There will also be a plant stall and raffle, and all monies raised will go towards the church restoration fund.
VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE
The village hall committtee's AGM will be held on Tuesday, 31st May (revised date) at 7.45pm in the village hall. All residents of the parish (over the age of 18) are entitled to attend and vote. If you would like to join the committee, please contact the secretary, Steve Major (telephone 01327-361766 or email stevemajor_61@hotmail.com ) by next Tuesday.
VILLAGE FETE
Here is your first “official” reminder about our village fete – to be held on the afternoon of Sunday, 26th June, in the garden of City Cottage. The fete committee have arrangements well in hand, but are asking you to start thinking about your contributions to make this event a success. Donations are required for the bric-a-brac, book, cake and plant stalls, and the soft toy tombola. Prizes are needed for the grand raffle and tombola.
