HARVEST SUPPER
The harvest supper organised by the parochial church council last week was a most enjoyable evening. Firstly, thanks must go to Anabel Lewis-Bowen and her team of cooks and helpers for an excellent supper of shepherds pies, followed by assorted seasonal fruit crumbles. Secondly, thanks to David Williams and Richard Fountaine for their lively and efficient auctioneering (even if it did seem at times that every lot came with a “free” marrow!), which raised over £140 for church funds through the generous bidding of parishioners.
