PARISH COUNCIL
This month’s parish council meeting takes place next Thursday, 20 th October, at 7.45pm in the village hall. Please see village noticeboards for the agenda.
CHRISTMAS WREATHS
Just a reminder that the parochial church council will be making Christmas wreaths again this year for sale around the parish. If you would like to be involved in the “workshop” (which takes place on 3rd December), there will be a planning meeting on 25 th October.
AN EVENING AT THE RACES !
Following their meeting last week, the village hall committee’s autumn event will be a Race Night to be held on Saturday, 29th October, in the village hall. Come along and enjoy a “flutter” on the horses, plus a delicious fish and chip supper.
MOBILE LIBRARY
Some of you may already know that we have a mobile library van now calling at Little Preston on alternate Tuesdays, from 2.00-2.20pm (next visit on 25th October). The van carries books for all ages, plus audio/large-print books and CDs.
If there was sufficient interest in Preston Capes, it would probably also be possible to arrange for the library to call there as well.
