CHURCH SERVICE

PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL
The next PCC meeting will be held next Monday (14th November) at 8.00pm in the village hall.
PARISH COUNCIL
This month’s parish council meeting takes place next Tuesday (15th November) at 7.45pm in the village hall.
HARVEST SUPPER
The parochial church council is delighted to announce that the harvest supper in September raised over £540 for church funds.
CHRISTMAS WREATHS
Don’t forget to order your Christmas wreath(s) as soon as possible – only one hundred are being made, and are available on a strictly “first come/first served” basis. Order should be sent to Gerard Hoare at Old West Farm, Little Preston (telephone: 013270361570). Alternatively, view the wreaths – and place your order – on the village website at www.prestoncapes.org.uk/wreaths . All profits go to church funds.
VILLAGE HALL CHRISTMAS EVENTS
After conducting some research earlier in the year, the village hall committee have decided to organise two separate events this year.
On Saturday afternoon, 10th December, there will be a Christmas party for all children (12 years and under) to include tea, entertainment and a visit by Father Christmas.
On Saturday, 30th December, there will be a Family Christmas Pub Night, with licensed bar, supper, and darts/skittles tournaments.
VILLAGE HALL KITCHEN
Work has now started on a major refurbishment of the kitchen area, with completion by the end of the month. The work will include dealing with the damp problems and installing new cabinets/heating/lighting/water heater/dishwasher. The village hall committee would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused - and greatly appreciate your ongoing support of their events, which has made all this possible.
