Village Fete

Our annual village fete took place on Sunday, and whilst the weather forecast looked daunting for the weekend (and necessitated some swift change of plans on Saturday), we only suffered intermittent showers on Sunday and were surprised and delighted to welcome a good number of visitors. We thank them for their support and hope that they enjoyed their afternoon.

The fete committee’s thanks also go to all villagers (plus assorted friends and relations!) who helped in any way with this year’s fete, plus all the local businesses who took advertising in our fete programme, and everyone who generously donated prizes for our grand draw.

Special thanks go to Luke and Victoria Bridgeman for the use of The Old Rectory gardens, and to Roger and Sarah Jenkins and the Sir Thomas White’s Charity Trustees for the use of the car parking field.

Winners of the grand prize draw were as follows: 1st (Barrow of Booze) – Kathy Green, 2nd (Backpack, donated by Outdoor GB) – Kath Elkin, 3rd (Luxury Hamper) – Hodges, 4th (Tesco Voucher, donated by Daventry & District Housing) – T.
